A couple weeks ago, we set out for a little Sunday adventure with the kids. It was a rather warm day and the kids were dying to do some hiking so we decided to venture out to Toquerville Falls so we could hike and splash in the water. I was a little hesitant on getting there since the falls are actually about 7 miles off any main road and the Internet described the trail as meant for 4-wheelers and off road vehicles. Curtis swore to me our trusty van could make it and off we went!
The kids were completely in awe when we finally got there and lucky for us there were only a few other people there that day!
They couldn't wait to get their shoes and socks off and dip their feet in!
And after awhile the shirt came off too and the shorts were almost completely drenched! This boy doesn't do anything half way:)
Maddox spent a good portion of the time just observing and getting a feel for his surroundings as usual. He refused to take his shoes off right away but preferred staying on dry land and throwing rocks and sticks in.
It really was such a fun a beautiful place and the kids loved roaming around and seeing how deep they could get!
Family photo op just to document that we were all there together! It was hot too and I would have jumped right in had I had on a swimming suit!
Maddox finally warmed up enough to it and got right in and then wouldn't hold still so that I could take a picture of him! This kid does things on his own time...no one else's!
We had such a good afternoon and the kids were already planning out next trip there and what friends they wanted to bring! I love these moments of adventure that we have together as they don't happen nearly as often as I'd like. We live in a beautiful place, full of lots of things to explore and there are plenty of new experiences to be had.
