Baseball, Swimming, and Ice Cream

We look forward each week to heading the the ball fields and watching Boston play! He has really improved and is probably one of the best hitters on his team!
This was his very first game of the season! It was quite comical watching all the kids scramble around but Boston did great! He was bummed his dad had to miss his first game since he was out of town but we sent lots of video so he didn't miss out!
This was after his first hit and he had made it to 3rd base! I love his thumbs up and how he constantly looks to the stands after he does something good to make sure we are watching!
When Curtis was back in town for his next game, he told his he wanted to hit it all the way to the grass. Curtis stood by the fence to watch and Boston looked over at him just before he went to bat. He swung his heart out on the first pitch and hit that ball straight to the grass! Curtis was one proud dad and  Boston was beaming having his dad whistle and cheer him on.
My little ball player and I after his first game.
Curtis brother brought his family down one weekend and we took advantage of the warm weather and headed to the pool.  Maddox still isn't quite sure about swimming but he had a blast throwing balls into the pool to the other kids.
Taylor was in 7th heaven with her cousin around. This girl lives for any chance she has to spend time with cousins and her face certainly showed how much fun she was having.
Boston is my fish and would live in the water all day if I let him.  He was loving the older boys around to play water guns and football with.
We love taking the kids to Arctic Circle for ice cream cones after FHE on Monday nights.  I can usually get away with just sharing a cone with Maddox, but he was not really up for sharing this time!
These two thought they were pretty silly making ice cream mustaches with their cones. They were giggling up a storm and trying to see who could make the best one.
Quality time with the kids seems to be a little more rare these days with Curtis' demanding and busy schedule at the hotel so when we do have him to ourselves, we make sure to make the most of it any way we can.
