Taylor's Birthday

Holy Smokes, Folks! I cannot believe that my oldest child is already 7 years old!  I was looking back at pictures the other day and could not believe how little she used to be. She is so helpful to me.  She has taken on the roll of big sister and ran with it!  She's great and helping me out with Maddox or helping Boston do his chores....when really she ends up just doing them for him!  She has thrived at school again this year and loves everything about it. I'm so glad that it comes easy for her and that she enjoys it. This year her birthday fell on General Conference Sunday, which was nice and allowed us to stay home as a family with no obligations to go or be anywhere.

Her most favorite surprise of the day...a new Nintendo DS.  She was so excited for this and has already gotten more play out of it than I could have  hoped for.
She opted for brownies again this year....notice the almost empty pan?! I made them early on in the day to get it out of the way and slowly but surely the pan got eaten! She had just enough left for a big scoop of ice cream on top and to blow the candles.
She also got a new nightgown that came with a matching one for her American Girl doll. She was pretty excited about being twiners and I was excited for the steal of a deal I got on them:)
On Monday, we went out to eat for her Birthday Dinner at the place of her choosing....which ended up being Costa Vida. We had only ate there once before and the cinnamon and sugar tortilla obviously made a big impression on her!
She picked to invite her friend Kylie to come along so we just decided to invite the entire family!
The day was a great success and I was so happy to have some quiet time with my family and celebrate this girl's golden birthday! She's already making big plans for her big 8th birthday next year...good thing I've got a year to rest up for it!
