Boston turns 5

A couple weeks ago was Boston's birthday.  I can't believe he is already 5 years old.  I told someone that it's one thing when your oldest child starts to feel old to you, but when your second starts feeling old then you really know time is flying.He started his morning by going to breakfast with Curtis to McDonald's.

Then it was off to preschool, where he opted to take one of his most favorite treats to share...donuts! After school he got to go play at his friends house, while I scrambled to finish up a few last minute birthday details.  Curtis accidentally scheduled his employee work party on the same day as Boston's birthday...men can be so absent minded sometimes!  We made it work because they had arranged for bounce houses and blow up slides for all the employees' families. Boston thought the party was all for him and since it was his special day, we let him believe it:)

 It was torture to get him to stop long enough for me to take a couple pictures with my phone.

We had a Costco cake at the park but time ran out and Boston was far too occupied playing to care so we waited until we got home to sing and do presents.

 He loves playing with the mini Lego guys so he got a few of those to play with.

 His most favorite and highly anticipated gift of all time....a Wii complete with Mario Cart. Some may say he's spoiled, but I got a completely screaming deal on numerous controllers, wheels, games and consoles;) My kind of birthday shopping!

While we were busy taking pictures, a certain little boy took it upon himself to have some cake,,,,

 He thought it was delicious!

It was a great day and everyone went to sleep exhausted but happy!
