My kids look forward to any chance they get to head North and spend time with their cousins. Last weekend, we made the quick trip up for Curtis' family Christmas party. We left late Friday after work and came home Sunday, which makes for a lot of travel and little sleep! On Saturday, Curtis and I went out to do some birthday shopping for me while the kids played and made Gingerbread houses. When we got back, they were in full swing going crazy with candy!

Boston on the train...he just kept asking when it was time for Santa to come! He loves his cousin Macrae ( next to him in the hat) who is 8! He loves having him around to play with and wants to do everything just like him! The entire weekend when I'd ask him to do something, he'd say, "Does Macrae have his jacket/ shoes on", is Macrae getting dressed? As long as my answer was yes, he was happy to comply:)
Each year, Santa comes and sings songs and hands out a gift to each of the kids! This year they got a new pair of pj's which I failed to take a picture of.
Maddox was not so sure of having some strange guy with a nappy beard hold him and immediately began to panic! Luckily, it only lasted long enough to snap a picture. His face is priceless!
Maddox had a blast finding friends that were just his size! His cousin KC is 4 months younger than him and almost taller than Maddox! But I'm pretty sure Maddox out weighs him;)
I told Maddox to give KC loves and he walked right up to him and planted one on him! KC wasn't sure what was going on and stood as still as a statue! It was so cute!
We always have a great time getting together with everyone and catching up on our lives. Maddox decided he was going to be cheesy that night and made the same face for almost every picture...He is definitely his dad's child!
I love that my kids have cousins on both sides that they are close with and can grow up with. It does, however; make me sad that any more children we have won't have cousins close in age because all our siblings are already done having kids:( It was a fun weekend and a great way for us to kick off the holidays!
