Christmas Eve

We were lucky enough to be able to spend Christmas in California this year with my parents and one of my brothers. It was a nice change of pace for us since we've spent the last few years at home in St. George.  My kids love any chance they get to spend time with cousins, and I just love any chance I get to spend time with family. We sure to pack in as much festive holiday fun as possible into the few days we were there. We started off by decorating cookies for Santa that Grandma had made for us.  Charlie was really into eating the frosting and Boston dumped enough sprinkles on his cookies that we could have used them to decorate for several more years!
We spent sometime outside and a nearby favorite park enjoying the wonderful weather and making sure the kids got good and worn out for Santa!
Later that afternoon, we constructed and decorated "graham cracker" houses.  Maddox enjoyed eating the chocolate "siding" more than building with it, and everyone had a good time.
We opened Christmas jammies after dinner and had our traditional jammie pictures by the tree.

Grandma read us the Polar Express and then handed out bells to each of the kids.
The kids went to bed surprisingly good, while the adults stayed up late "prepping" for the next morning!
