Taylor's Birthday

Last week our family had another birthday, Taylor turned 6!! It's hard to believe how old and grown up she is getting and looking back at these pictures only confirms it. It was a full day of fun, treats, family and friends and by the end of it I was exhausted and she was thrilled!
We kicked off the festivities by heading to her class to pass out treats and watch the kids sing to her. Her teacher makes a poster for each of them and draws their favorites things. She was more occupied with one of her friends than looking at the camera!
She picked the sugar cookies caked with orange frosting and sprinkles to take as her treat to class!
After school, we headed home for lunch and then got ready for her party. I told her she could have a small party with a few friends  and something that wouldn't cost a lot. She, of course, chose to go swimming at the hotel! When we planned the party, it was 90 degrees, but on her actual birthday it was only in the 60's! Luckily, Curtis was able to turn the heat up a few degrees and no one was fazed by it! The girls had a great time and Taylor loved all of her gifts! We opted for root beer floats as a treat and then jumped in the hot tub to warm up:)
Kylie, Mikayla, Mya, Nora, and Taylor (Boston was also in attendance but didn't want to be in an all girl picture!)
Once the party was over, we headed home and changed and then it was off to dinner at a place of her choice and she chose Panda Express! The girl can really put it away here, she loves it:) One of Curtis' employees also works there and gave her a stuffed panda for her birthday! She loved it...and so did Boston and they fought over it for an entire day straight!
After dinner, it was off to accomplish her first gift of the day...getting her ears pierced!  She's talked about it for awhile and I explained the process and she still wanted to go through with it so we headed to the mall! Um, seriously, how grown up does she looks?!
Here's the after shot! The lady did the first one before Taylor even realized what was happening and before she knew it, it was over! This was her, "I'm smiling, but I'm not sure how I really feel about what just happened" face:)
Then, it was finally home to finish off the presents and have her 3rd and final treat of the day, brownies! She also got some more art supplies, and a kitchen set that's actually nicer than most of my things! Too bad they are mini sized!
Happy Birthday Taylor!! You are such a smart, fun, loving little girl and so helpful to your mom! We love you so much:)
