Hunting Season! Next weekend kicks off the rifle hunt and you can bet that there are some pretty excited people in this house right now! The kids cannot wait to head to deer camp and be outside with cousins and fires and fun and Curtis acts like a kid before Christmas! Last year, Curtis took Taylor and Boston with him while I headed to Cali with Maddox since he was only a few months old. I've opted to stay behind again this year for a number of reasons, we don't have our own trailer so bunking up with others gets crammed, and with a 14 month old, camping sounds like more work than relaxing to me! I love that Curtis loves taking his kids with him, and I love the break and the one on one spent with the baby:) In preparation, we headed out to sight in Curt's gun and have some fun shooting!
The kids each got a turn and loved it and I even dusted off my shooting skills and took a few shots! The kids had a blast being outside and and running around. Maddox was also in attendance, but was either roaming freely in the van or eating dirt somewhere and escaped the camera! It was such a fun evening, which we will be headed out to do again soon, except this time we'll bring some hot dogs and marshmellows and make an evening out of it!
