Boston Turns 4

Last Tuesday, Boston had his 4th birthday!  He was convinced all day that it wasn't really his birthday until he got presents, though. He had school that day and decided he wanted to take his absolute favorite treat to share with his classmates, Fruit by the Foot! This kid is not into candy, at all! We went to a parade a couple weeks ago and he would run to grab a piece of candy, look at it, and throw it back on the ground! He can be very particular about his food! He picked Winger's for his birthday dinner, mostly because of the popcorn!

He was lucky enough to have Grandma here visiting and spend his special day with him!

After dinner, we headed home for "cake" and presents.  And because he is particular about the things he likes, we made his ultimate favorite treat to serve as his cake, No Bake Cookies.  Curtis doubled the recipe and made one giant cookie to put the candles in, and you can bet he did eat the whole thing...and then some!  The candles I had ended up bring trick candles and so after several attempts at getting them out, Curtis pulled them out and ran them under the water.

He was more than thrilled with the gifts he got that included a new Cars blanket, that he insists on sleeping with even though he sweats like crazy under it! He also got some more hot wheels to add to his collection, a mini soccer ball, a nerf gun and his favorite of all, a remote control Mater!

After loads of attention, and an endless amount of sugar from cookies and cinammon rolls that he ate both for breakfast and lunch, he had a slight problem going to bed that night!  Boston is such a character and we love having him as part of our family. He is a very active boy and loves anything that involves sports, balls and cars. He loves to try to be like his sister and has a slight obsession with shoes! He picked out his own outfit that day as well. He went to school and then came home and changed. When I tried to get him into something else before dinner, he told me he matched because they were both green! He has a mind and opinion about everything and we love that about him.
