To Infinity...

We reached a huge milestone at our house today. We've been working off and on with Boston for months on potty training in hopes that by the time the baby arrived he'd be completely trained. Needless to say, its been an uphill battle with that kid. This week I finally decided to get rid of all the diapers and pull-ups and go straight to underwear full time. He's always done pretty well peeing, even if it means dropping his drawers outside while he's playing to go on the rocks. (That was all his father's doing, by the way!) Going #2 has not gone well. He was terrified at first, then he just got to the point he'd go hide and do it in his underwear and then come tell me. He only had gone once and that was by complete accident and he ended up finishing the job in his pants! But today we conquered that! I'm sure it was more my timing, I sensed an odor coming on and raced him to the potty telling him he would earn his prize if he went "stinky in the potty"! Well, he did. He was hesitant to get off but we made sure to complete the deed all the while Taylor and I were cheering and jumping up and down! I know we still have a long way to go, but at least I know now he CAN do it and he's not afraid...we just need some consistency. We rushed straight to the store and he knew just what he wanted....
Buzz Lightyear! He's been really into the movies lately and when he saw this, he was hooked. In fact, he's even sleeping with it as we speak because he told me Buzz was cold and needed a blankie like him! We are super proud and are crossing our fingers that big boyhood is just around the corner!
