In an effort to getaway one last time before the 4 of us become 5, we did what we always do when we need some serious relaxation....head to Grandma's house! We decided that it was now or never to make the 8 hour trip one last time before baby arrives and the kids couldn't have been more excited, as was I, except for the whole sitting in the car for 8 hours with no relief for back pain except to keep shifting around every 10 seconds! But we made it and had a great time. The kids love being there, playing in the backyard on the swings, riding bikes around the block with Grandpa, and playing on Grandma's piano. We managed to get in some serious shopping for the new little guy since I hadn't done much up to that point. My mom and I usually find some serious deals when we are together! Curtis relaxed by watching as much of the World Cup as he could and read and entire book, Catching Fire, while we were there. I could not get him to put that thing down and was so happy when he finally finished.

The kids had a blast going to this new park near G & G's house that included a splash pad. The first time they went with Grandpa and Dad, they just got soaked in their clothes, so we went prepared the second time in swimsuits only to find the water wasn't on!! They had fun playing on the playground then we opted to go home and have some water fun at Grandma's....

They had a blast running through the sprinklers and seeing who could jump the highest and farthest! They also got to play in the squirting rock fountains at the mall, but of course I forgot my camera. We also took them to see the movie How to Train Your Dragon...

They both loved it, as did Curtis and I. It is definitely one we will buy for our collection! Taylor also had her first experience with Build a Bear and Boston got what he calls "cool shoes". We had a nice, relaxing Father's Day and are truly blessed to have Curtis at the head of our family. We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and were sad to have to leave, but we are looking forward to Grandma's visit in just a few weeks to help out with our new addition.
