Taylor had her first ever dance class this week and loved every minute! We had gone back and forth between gymnastics and dance for a long time and finally opted for a combo dance class and a tumbling class. The studio came highly recommended by a good friend so I had no doubts that she would love it! On Tuesday, she had her first tumbling class and came out grinning from ear to ear! No pictures that day because we were all scrambling to be in different places at once. On Thursday, she had her combo class which is a good introductory class for ballet, tap, and jazz for girls just starting to dance. I was so proud of her for fearlessly going into class on her own. She knows that there are girls who have been taking dance much longer than her, but she didn't let that stop her one bit! I'm so glad she has the confidence to try new things and find joy in them! These two have quite the relationship and it's so cute to see Maddox respond to her...he screamed bloody murder when we dropped her at class and left her:(
He even tried getting in on the posing action, but didn't quite have the footing down! And he insisted on standing by her for every picture! I would try to pull him aside and by the time I went to snap the picture, he was already back in the frame.
This girl continues to amaze me. I hope she keeps the spirit of confidence with her always and that I can help her continue to build it up for those times in life when she will really need it. She's learning so much at school already and it's only the first week! Curtis was quizzing her for a geography test coming up and she was spouting off 7 different continents, 3 oceans, and what different terms mean! I hope I can help her see that no matter what, she can do anything she puts her mind too and that we can give her a solid, uplifting home base to catch her when she may fall.
