Trip to Arizona

We decided to start Spring Break a little early and headed off to Phoenix on Thursday.  My nephew was being blessed and since Curtis was swamped with work the week of Spring Break, we took a few days before to go and enjoyed the hot sun.  We stayed at 2 different hotels while we were there because so many places were booked due to Spring Training games as well as Spring Breakers, but luckily we were able to stay for free since Curtis' company has a few hotels in the area.  The kids were so excited to stay in hotel and go swimming...it was all they talked about the entire way.  You would think with Curtis' job, this wouldn't be anything new for them especially since we lived in one for a month while our house was being built. But I guess that's just the nature of kids, and they were stoked!
On Friday, we took the kids to the Phoenix zoo.  I love the zoo and so does Curtis, so maybe it was more for us than the kids, but they loved it too.  We went when they first opened to avoid too many crowds and to go when it was a little cooler.  Taylor couldn't get enough of all the animals and we were trying to keep up with her most of the time!  Maddox was happy to people watch rather than animal watch, but he had his share of roaming around by foot rather than stroller.  Poor Boston was just plain tried most of the time, but he loved seeing the turtles and the tiger.
I'm a big fan of giraffes, so we had to take a few photo ops with them in the background.  And I love the picture I caught of my little Madd man... it's not too often he stands still and smiles for the camera, so I cherious the ones I do come across.  Oh, and I may have added some more blonde to my hair.  My hair changes with the weather...and I like it!  Curtis' has had a few people ask him what his wife thinks about the blonde he's been hanging out with...I guess some peeps just aren't used to the new me yet...better hurry cuz it'll probably change again before you know it;)
Saturday, we spent time at my brother's house and the kids stayed busy playing outside and running wild. We took a trip to Cabela's to see the aquarium and then took Alex an Jake back to our hotel to go swimming before dinner. Again, gotta love the camera phone pictures.  The water was great, but once the sun wasn't shining on them they were freezing unless they were in the water!
Sunday was this little guy's big day.  Graham is the sweetest baby and I'm pretty sure I only heard him cry once when we were there.  I got my baby fix for awhile!  Taylor loved holding him and asked when she could have a baby sister....not anytime soon there Sis, sorry!
We had good food...a little too much on my part, and good company.  The kids begged for an adult to jump them on the trampoline and Curtis was usually the one that gave in.  He worked up a sweat a few times for sure.
We had a great time on a mini vacation and were sad to have to come back to reality!  Curtis spent the kids entire spring break working...literally pulling 15 hr days.  I kept the kids as busy as I could park hopping, playing outside and enjoying the air show practices going on right in our backyard!  Curtis was able to take 3 days off after his crazy week and we were able to catch up on some much needed yard work and get our garden planted! Here's to an awesome Spring...hopefully filled with good things to come for our family!
