Halloween Trick or Treat

I have never been an all out Halloween fan, but I love getting to see how excited my kids get at the concept of Trick or Treating!  The funny thing is, Boston doesn't even like candy...at all.  He came home from the Trunk or Treat and said "Here Taylor, you can have my candy!" I mean what kid does that! But that didn't stop him from running from one house to the next collecting as much candy as possible! We started out, of course, with a few pictures... The kids were each taking turns ringing our doorbell and practicing their Trick or Treat, but someone forgot to tell Madd he was supposed to have his costume on!
Getting ready for the first house!! We decided to venture over to a popular neighborhood again this year that comes complete with ice cream cones from Santa and King Size candy bars. We are hoping with all the new building around us that next year we will be able to stay in our own neighborhood...but that means I'd have to break down and buy candy to pass out:(  Poor Maddox wasn't feeling to great, so he spent his time just watching the kids run wild. The doc finally called us back and told us they were calling in a Rx for his so now I have 3 bottles of antibiotics and 3 separate droppers for 3 separate kids...The joys of cold and flu season!
The kids were so excited to get these light up rings from one particular house. I think Boston would have been content the rest of the night with just that ring. He had a hard time focusing on anything up that blasted ring!
We ran into some neighborhood friends, which made the night even that much better!
Our last stop of the night was at a house that carves over 70 pumpkins each year and lines them up around their house! The kids have fun walking around and finding their favorite ones.
We did a few houses in our neighborhood to wrap up the evening and then called it a night!  We had a great Halloween week full of lots of candy, parties, parades, and friends! Curtis' one job was to hide the candy before he left for work today, which he did successfully!  Our bags were filled with an overload of chocolate with is one thing that's hard for me to resist, so now only dad knows where the goods are!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
