We've had a couple big accomplishments happening around here lately. The first started on Wednesday night when Taylor learned her friend across the street had lost her first tooth. Taylor was in awe and could not wait for her turn. Later that evening, she was still talking about it and I told her that everybody's teeth fall out at different times. She kept saying she had a loose tooth and I kept telling her it was wishful thinking. She wouldn't let up and finally said, "Mom there's something behind my tooth." I finally took a look in her mouth and couldn't believe that a tooth had already come in behind one of her baby teeth. Mother of the year award, right here please:) Her tooth was in fact loose and so we told her to wiggle it back and forth so we could get it out before the dentist needed to pull it. She worked the next day tugging and wiggling and even let me get some floss and work on it. She finally got to where she could stick her tongue under it and work it out that way. I left for a run thinking she'd still be working on it, but when I got back she was so excited to show me that she had finally wiggled it out....and all on her own!
She wrapped it up in a paper towel and sealed it tightly in an envelope and stuck it under her pillow. She told me she couldn't wait for the tooth fairy to bring her a dollar...apparently, the tooth fairy goes off the rate of friend's who've had their teeth lost;) I, I mean, The tooth fairy debated on 4 quarters, a dollar bill, or a dollar coin, but decided the bill would be the best to avoid any confusion or disappointment! Her other bottom tooth is also loose and she's working hard to get that one out now and get another pay out from the fairy:)
This little guy isn't so little anymore and finally got upgraded to a bigger car seat. He's made it the longest in the infant carrier as my other 2 were upgraded between 6-8 months. The investment in an infant seat that when up to a higher weight and length was well worth it! We decided it was about time since he was starting to hate being laid down to buckle in the other one.
Could he be any more excited about it!? His first ride was just with me and I loved looking back and watching him stare out the window, seeing the world in a completely different way! Hopefully, his excitement will last and he will learn to fall asleep in it just as well as his other one!
