The weather has been amazing here lately. In fact, I had to turn on my AC today after leaving the park because we were all sweating...hopefully we ease into the heat gradually because we have some adjusting to do:) We have been to the park a ton, but of course I have forgotten my camera each time so no pictures. Curtis has been working a lot, or at least it feels like that to me because we aren't used to having him gone so much. His days either begin before we all get up or end just about the time we need to get kids ready for bed. I'm exhausted after most days and often times my patience is non-existent by bedtime, but I'm grateful for the warm weather and numerous neighbor kids that keep my children occupied for much of the day. I made an effort to take pictures of my kids a couple days ago just so I could remember all the things they are doing.

Taylor is loving school right now and is doing really well on learning to read. She started off behind the other kids because I was completely unaware of what was going on at school...a bad mommy moment...but she has worked really hard to get caught up and loves passing off her books. She is quite the mini mommy to Maddox. She's a big helper to me and loves her brother so much. When I took the picture of the two of them, I realized how much they look like each other compared to her and Boston! She's getting so excited to start Kindergarten and asks everyday how many more months till she can go. It's bitter sweet for me because I'm terrified of the day she comes home crying because kids weren't nice...she's been so sensitive to how her friends react to her lately and part of me just wants to keep her away from any negative that school may bring. She still loves to draw/color and is constantly making books or drawing pictures for me and Curtis. That girl is happy as long as she has some paper and something to write with! She also just decided to get her haircut. It was all her decision and she begged to have it done. I love it of course and think she looks so much more grown up!

Boston is all Boy! This kid has so much energy that its exhausting just watching him. He is constantly climbing over couches, or jumping off of them and sounds like he's yelling more than he's talking. He still loves to play with cars and often times makes any object a car or spaceship, like an ice cream scoop and spatula or his teddy grahams! He's picked up a lot of things from his sister and some are not
soo good. Its interesting to see his version of attitude...I try not to laugh but its quite funny. His favorite movie right now is
Astro Boy...the kid is obsessed. He can watch it multiple times a day and not get tired. Its funny to watch him quote lines from it when he thinks no one is listening. Just today at lunch he was eating his chicken and said in a deep voice, "where are you robot boy?" He is loving going to school and can't wait until he gets to go 2 times a week next year. He still loves sports and is constantly asking someone to throw the football or kick the soccer ball with him. He's growing so fast and I think he will pass up Taylor in height before long.

Maddox is such a happy boy. I cannot get enough of his cheesy smile even when it comes in the middle of the night when he's wanting to eat....again! He loves the vacuum. He loves to watch me vacuum and anytime its left out he will sit and stare at it or turn and look back at it as we walk by. I'm not sure what it is but he's clearly captivated by it. He still has no teeth but spends a ton of time drooling. He loves his solid food especially when its the good stuff that comes right off our plate. His new favorite is graham crackers and they always buy me a few minutes when I need to get something done. His new trick is spitting. He picked it up yesterday and finds joy in doing it as much as possible, especially during meal times. I love that I can get him to giggle and laugh and it seriously makes my day when I walk into the room and he just smiles as big as can be. We've been going on walks around the neighborhood enjoying the weather and he's perfectly content to sit in the stroller and watch the other kids play.

I'm so blessed to have these 3 call me Mom, and love that I get to be at home with them each day...even though I'm exhausted by the end of it. I'm really trying to enjoy them and all their quirks and just laugh at the silly things they do. Just yesterday as I was bringing the kids inside for dinner, Taylor started singing the Rent to Own song..."its so easy to rent to own, its so easy to rent to own" HA...I had a good chuckle with that one because she sang it as though it was the hottest song on the radio! One thing is for sure...There is never a dull moment with these three!
(ignore my over-use of the {...} in nearly every paragraph, I appear to have a problem!)
