My kids absolutely love when their cousins are in town and they play so well together. Charlie was nice enough to clear all the toys out from the armoire and stack them around Maddox. He thought it was nice not having to reach for anything!
The older kids always have a blast together running around wild and making up fun games. We got to have them over for a night while their parents spent some time away in California.
Jumping on the beds is usually inevitable, even though they know mom highly discourages it. We seem to have a few listening problems here at our house and are hoping they go away soon!
Maddox turned 7 months old on the 21st and is still our mellow easy going guy. He's rolling much more now and cannot get enough of solid foods. Most of the time he won't drink his bottle without some serious distraction. He's much more interested in what we are having. He's growing fast and giggles much more than my other 2 ever did!
The biggest change that came our way this month was Curtis switching jobs. It was something that had been in the works for a couple months and something that we did a lot of praying and attending the temple about. He wasn't looking for a new job, but an opportunity came his way that we realized he couldn't pass up. His new job is working at the Hilton Garden Inn next to the Convention Center. The hotel is much larger with twice the rooms and meetings space as his old hotel. He is currently the Assistant General Manager and is training to take over the General Manager spot within the next year. He has goals of running a full service property one day and this was a great segway into a company that can help him reach that goal. He's come home so happy and excited about his new job which makes the rest of us happy as well. The hours are longer and some weekends are involved but we feel like this is what he's supposed to be doing and know the Lord has blessed us so much with the opportunity! Hopefully now that life has slowed down a bit, I will be be better about getting the camera out and taking pictures...but I'm not promising anything.
