Yesterday was Boston's first day of preschool. Because his birthday is after the cut off, I didn't want to start him in the fall, plus I'm already paying for one child to go full time to preschool and I didn't want to start another! The past couple months he's been super interested in going to school like his sister and some of his friends. The primary president has a preschool she runs out of her home and she has a 3 year old class that meets just once a week. I thought it would be good for him to have something that he did that was all him and I knew it would be a good experience for him. He was so excited to go pick out a backpack at the store and he even picked his own shirt and shoes for his first day of school...if I would have let him choose his pants, he would have worn basketball shorts in 40 degree weather! I could tell he was a little nervous when I dropped him off, but he had a couple friends he already knew so I knew he would be
OK. I could not wait for him to come home and ask him how his first day was! It was
soo funny because when he walked in the door he immediately took his backpack off and said "I did my sight words mom" so matter-of -
fact. Taylor is learning sight words at school to prepare her for reading and he's constantly hearing her talk about passing them off, so when he came home and said that I couldn't help but laugh! He loved it and asked to go again today. I'm glad he enjoys it especially since he has 2 full years before he starts kindergarten! He's growing up
soo much and definitely keeps up laughing and screaming...sometimes all at the same time!
