A Good Day

Monday was one of those all around good days. The kids were happy, the weather was beautiful, and we got to enjoy ourselves and spend time together! Since Taylor didn't have preschool, I took the kids to one of their favorite parks they love going to when their cousins come to town. The weather was perfect, 60 degrees and sunny.
The kids had a great time running, climbing, and playing to their hearts content! Maddox was even in awe of all the kids playing and the nice warm weather.
The kids wore themselves out and had nice long naps, which is something that's hard to come by these days. For FHE, we decided to make pizza for dinner. The kids were so excited to be able to help cook and they probably enjoyed making it better than eating it!
I work so hard getting my kids to smile for pictures, that I apparently neglect the one person who has a hard time pulling a serious face for such pictures...what a goofball! We had to get a fam picture, minus sleeping Maddox, and it took a few tries to get us and the pizza in and to our liking!
It was a great end to a wonderful day, filled with my children's laughter and the joy of spending time together making memories. Maddox was equally happy once he woke up from his nap and always enjoys his spot in his bumbo on the table right next to the fake fruit display! He is our smiley guy and flashes his cheeser to anyone who will look his way!
Life has already thrown us a few curve balls this year, but I'm continued to be amazed at the blessings I have around me each day. Having people in your life who love you and are there for you even when life gets rough seems to make all the difference in the world. My faith has increased so much because I know my Heavenly Father is using those wonderful people in my life to bless me. We've had the opportunity to go to the temple twice in a month's time and I love being able to escape the realities of life; fear, stress, frustration, anxiety, and just be in a place that gives me the peace I need to make it through. I'm truly seeking to find Joy in the Journey and to "Come what may, and love it!"
