This week Taylor had her preschool graduation although she will be attending one more year since her 5
th birthday is after the cut off date. Her teacher invites all the kids to participate and makes it a really big deal with a program, certificates, and even specialty awards. I didn't realize till we got there and looked at the program that Taylor actually had a solo in one of the songs they were performing. She had said nothing about it, but when it was her turn she sang her part in seasons of the year song like a true pro! I was so proud of her for doing it. She was awarded the Junior Scholar award which meant she completed all her pass offs for the year and one reading item. Her prize was a sand pail complete with new flip flops, sunglasses, and a princess water toy. The school she is in teaches a kindergarten curriculum and is really focused on getting kids to read before starting school. I'm so proud of her for all that she has learned this year and I hope her love for learning and desire to go to school keeps up her entire life!

A couple days later, her teachers threw a carnival party to finish out the year. Each child got a packet of tickets for each game and lunch. Taylor had a great time and was more excited about getting her face painted than being in the front of the line for the games! She was a champ and the balloon pop and hit a balloon with her first dart! She was so excited about all the prizes which included her favorite candy,
Starbursts, and 2 sets of play make-up...I was much less enthusiastic about those!

She is sad preschool is over for the year, but is excited that she gets to go back to her teachers
next year and have some time off this summer for lots of swimming, a couple fun trips, and even swimming lessons!
