'Tis the Season.....

We have been busy the last couple weeks enjoying all that this holiday season has to offer. I keep putting off blogging until I have way too much to say and not enough time to do it!! We kicked off the Season by heading out to Tuacahn for the Live Nativity and lights. We got all bundled up and the kids enjoyed seeing the animals on stage, we actually never got a picture with Boston looking at the camera because he was always too distracted with other things! Afterwards, we headed up to meet Santa. Boston wasn't about to sit on his lap and neither was Taylor, but she opted for the stool next to him....notice how she's leaning away from him!!

"Don't get too close Santa!"

We had a great time with good friends and enjoyed sharing with the kids the true meaning of Christmas! December also brings my birthday, which I tend to get less excited about each year! We enjoyed a nice low key day with the kids and then Curtis took me out to a fancy restaurant to end the day! I'm not usually one for going to places when the final ticket is over $80, but since it was free, we went all out! Again, sometimes you gotta love the perks of running a hotel!

It's not often that we get snow here, so when Taylor woke up one morning to a light dusting outside, she insisted on going out a making snow angels! The only bad thing was that the snow didn't stick to the grass so she had to go in the backyard and do it in the dirt!!

I attempted to get a picture of the kids in their Christmas outfits before church, but of course we were running late, Boston refused to put down his cheez-its and my battery was almost dead! So this was the best I got!!

And finally, today Taylor got the chance to go "carouseling" as she calls it with her preschool. They met at the outlets and rode on a trailer around the parking lot singing songs they'd learned at school! She did so good and I was surprised that she knew almost all the words! We are so excited for Christmas to come and even more excited to be having visitors come and spend it with us. I'm looking forward to watching my kids open their gifts and just spending time with those we love reflecting on this Season of Christ!

Their outfits are so cute. I must have missed the day they were wearing them. I didn't even notice the snack in Boston's hand. At least they are smiling!

funny story: allie, chloe, and halle all have the exact outfit that taylor has on, only they have gold shoes:)

good thing we're not in the same ward anymore, or that would look really funny. maybe we should wear our same dress and get all the girls together:) so cute!

What a small world - that little boy right next to Taylor on her "carouseling" trailer is my nephew! Looks like fun. I wish I was a better friend - we live closer than anyone and we never see you! Sheesh.
