Almost Home

It's almost unbelieveable that our home will be ready in a matter of days. Most people are completely shocked that a house has gone up so fast, while we feel like we've been living in this hotel for an eternity! The past week has been exciting, and a little nerve wracking due to all the finish work and options going in. I have been so nervous about how everything will tie together, but I'm happy to report that so far I'm in LOVE with all my choices.....so far:) They have the landscaping done and the carpet is laid down and ready to be completed. The kitchen is almost completed with only a few cupboard doors and a piece of granite to go! This next week should allow for everything to be completed and then it's on to the walk through and then closing! Here's a few pictures to satisfy until we can get in and get it all put together....we are so excited!

Quick story abou the landsaping. We found out that the weed barrier did not come standard and if we wanted it we had to pay $375!! Curtis didn't want to deal with the hassel of picking weeds in all the rocks and decided at the last minute Thursday night (the landscapers were laying down rock early Friday morning) to run to Lowes and buy his own. He enlisted to help of our friend/neighbor Jeremy to go help him and they walked into the store right at closing. They picked up 4 rolls and spent about an hour and a half laying it down in the dark. He was pretty proud of their work in the end and it only cost about $100! He's thinking of doing it as a side job:)
