HL Day 2

Day 2 has come and gone and we are still alive...which is a positive. The kids continue to wake up earlier than they ever have, but at least we didn't have any escapees! Today we were lucky enough to experience room service for breakfast!! Funny thing is, they dont usually offer that here, but I guess that's one perk I get from people that like having Curtis for a boss. The kids inhaled their waffles and I now worry that cold cereal will be a hard thing to accept as breakfast. We were 20 minutes late to church...I'm not sure where we went wrong since we were up earlier anyway, but this confined living makes it hard to remember where I put things.

I also produced the first crockpot roast this hotel has ever smelled!! Curt wasn't sure if others would appreciate it or be jealous! I packed the mini fridge as full as possible and am still trying to get creative with meals. Looks like we'll be having lots of sandwiches and easy mac!

We got out and took a long drive to scope out some prime spots for our upcoming family reunion this weekend and the kids were nice enough to sleep through most of it. We're hoping they start on our home by Tuesday so at least we can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

It looks like we live in a war zone...I guess that's what you get when you have no where to stick things and its just stacked in every available corner. The TV doesn't come with Disney or Nickelodeon, so the kids are resorted to watching movies over and over and what makes matters worse is that they dont even get HGTV.How the heck am I supposed to get ideas for my first home without that channel.

Sacrifices. That's what this is all about.

I'm making lots of them.

I just need to come to terms with that and get over it.

Okay, there, I did.

Wow! You guys are living quite the adventure. I'm sure someday you will have lots of funny stories to tell...It will all be worth it when you get your gorgeous new home though! I actually know of some people (friends of my in-laws) who have spent the last 6 or so months living in an RV for the same reason. You might find her blog interesting (and be able to relate a little)! The address for it is ourfamilywagon.blogspot.com
Good luck, hang in there! :)
