Summer, Here We Come!

Summer is officially upon us...or at least it is for me. The heat is slowly inching its way upon us and so far the upper 90's are all we've had a taste of and that's hot for me...I am definitely in for it when the triple digits arrive! Thursday was playgroup and I decided to put the kids in their swimming suits to take advantage of the splash pad. I don't understand why that thing is more appealing when my kids are wearing regular clothes. They get soaked from head to toe and the one time I put them in their suits, they have to be forced to play in it! Boston will definitely be my fearless one, he loves the water. He doesn't mind getting his face wet and he loved sitting on the water. I couldn't get over how big he looked in his new swimming suit and rash guard...where did my baby boy go? Swings are always a big hit at the park and I find it funny that my oldest wants to sit in the baby swing while my youngest prefers the big kid swing! After naps, the kids were wanting to play in the water outside the house so I decided to make our first trip to the pool. After blowing up all the floatings and getting everyone dressed in their suits, we found out our pool was still closed for some updating, good thing Curtis runs a hotel with an awesome pool. He was nice enough to let us come try it out for an hour at the end of his work day. I wasn't sure how Boston would do, but that kid is a natural fish. The pool at the hotel has a entry with extra long steps that he loved playing on and wasn't afraid to go under. Taylor picked up right where she left off last summer and was a champ using her arm floaties and jumping off the side.It was a great day and it's always amazing to me to watch my kids interact with each other and the world around them. Its one of the greatest blessings of being able to stay at home with them, each day brings something new or another funny thing said. We plan on having lots of fun this summer and getting out and enjoying all that we can.

Stay tuned for some exciting news about our family.......
