Date Night!

I'm behind on blogging...again. I have good reason, all of which you will find out about in future posts...don't you just love to be left hangin!?? Last Friday, Curtis and I got the rare opportunity to go out on a date. I had almost forgotten what one of those was since it has been so long. It was very welcomed and needed and we are grateful for our friends, the Felix's, for watching our kids so we could enjoy an evening away. We decided we were long overdue for a trip to the temple, so that was our first stop. We did some sealings and thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there and were reminded at how wonderful a blessing it is to attend such a peaceful place. We both commented on how hard it is to come back out and face the world after having a couple hours of peace, leaving all worries at the door. We then headed over to Texas Roadhouse, a place I had yet to try, and walked out feeling stuffed to the brim, but boy was it tasty!!:o) I love having the chance to get out, to feel like we are newlyweds or just dating again and really let loose for a few hours. We laughed, a lot, something I remember doing constantly when we were dating. We turned up the radio really loved and danced in the car, acting like complete fools and loving every minute of it. Curtis busted out some of his best dance moves and I laughed till I wanted to throw up! Here's a shot of him doin' his thing....
How I love this man! No one can turn my bad day around faster than him, and bring a smile to my face even when I don't want to. It was a great evening, something we need to do more often. It's true that it makes you better parents to get away, and I'm always reminded 10 fold of the reasons why Curtis is my best friend, my rock, and the love of my life! Here's to many more date nights to come.....babysitter pending!
