Preschool Party and a Checkup

Today Taylor's class had an Easter party that she has been looking for to for a couple of weeks. She has been sick the last week and was so determined to be well enough to make it to her party. I bought her an Easter dress and had her try it on and she loved it so much that she really wanted to wear it to her school party. It was a little cooler today so I managed to convince to wear another one that was equally as party-ish! We had a late night last night as we were all getting haircuts which means the kids didn't exactly make it to bed on time! I ended up having to go in at 8:20 this morning to wake her up for school...it was soo tempting to just let her sleep, but I knew I'd have to deal with her wrath all day if I let her miss her party! They made some fun bunny hats and got whiskers painted on their face. She was beaming with excitement when I picked her up afterwards. When I asked her what she learned about, she shrugged and said, Rabbits. She's not to the point where she can tell me what she learned or talked about yet (or she just doesn't remember or care to fill me in), but I figure if shes excited to go each time and is smilin' and happy when I get her, it was a successful day! We, of course, had to take a picture of how cute she looked as a bunny and she was more than willing to give me a few awesome poses...
She was so funny, and I'm glad I have this picture to remind me of her happy side:) She didn't get a nap today since I had to take Boston to the doctor and she spent the time playing with her friend, Kylie. When we came home, and I attempted to get her to relax, she had a complete meltdown. I'm talking, screaming at the top of her lungs, kicking her legs, spitting at me and telling me I was NOT her best friend. She got some soap in the mouth for spitting, and I had to cut my losses and just ignore her for the rest of the day. Oh, this girl could be the death of me, but I do love her to pieces:) On the upside, she was sound asleep at 8:15! Boston had his 18 month check up today and is growing like a weed...Not that I wasn't already award of that. He is off the charts for his height at approximately 35 inches, give or take..an 18 month old will only stand so still and straight for about a split second. He weighed in at 27 pounds and is right on normal with that one. He did great up until they were putting a fluoride varnish on his teeth, and he was not having that. Surprising, since he loves to brush his teeth and the fluoride tasted like cherry. I guess he was just not liking having some stranger all up in his mouth! We only had minimal tears for is 1 shot and we were on our way...in less than 1 hour I might add:) I still have a hard time believing how grown up my kids are getting. They are both at such fun, and challenging stages and definitely keep Curtis and I on our toes and laughing.

Wow, Boston is so much bigger than Caleb! Caleb is only 30 inches tall, and 23 lbs, such a little shrimp. Isn't it great that all the shots are over until kindergarten now? I love it! Your kids are so gorgeous!
