This past week I took the kids to McDonald's to have lunch with a friend and to let our girls play at the play place inside. It was Taylor's first time ever playing in one since Curtis is so disgusted and opposed to them. She loved it of course and I even managed to get her to eat some of her lunch before playing. Last night we decided to go to Burger King for dinner since they have a playground as well. I thought it would be fun for Taylor and give Curtis and I a chance to have a quiet dinner. Curtis agreed but only because the Burger King had just opened and it is fairly new. We told Taylor she had to eat her chicken nuggets before she went to play or we would just go home. She was hesitant and I just kept having her take bits, although she was practically gagging on them. I told she just had one more bite and then she could go play. The next thing I know is that she starts gagging, and being the mom I am, I tell her to stop and just swallow the food. The gagging increases and the next thing I know all four chicken nuggets I had forced her to eat were on the bench mixed in with the fruit punch she was washing them down with. She didn't seem to mind because after she finised throwing up, she looked at me and said, "I wanna go play". Curt wanted to just go home, but I already felt bad for forcing her to eat to the point she threw up so we let her go play. She obviously got her sensitive gag reflex from her mom! I not only had to clean up the mess but then Curt wanted me to go in to watch her because he said it smelled like stinky feet! I wish I would have had my camera to capture how excited she was to play and how disgusted her dad was by it!! All I could do was laugh :)

Oh man! I can't help but laugh! I'm with Curt on this one, not a fan of the stinky feet smell in those playgrounds!
These are reasons why MOM gets to spend days with the kids, so they can experience things like throwing up at fast food places and getting excited about playing in sweaty-feet covered play equipment. Aahh ...the life of a MOM...we wouldn't trade it for anything!
Oh my goodness Marissa! What a story! I truely feel for ya. That does not sound like a good evening out. Poor Tay! I do that with Wyatt all the time, make him eat and eat and eat. He tells me all the time he is full, but I just can't believe that the little amount he eats fills him up. Maybe I can take a lesson away from your story!
Gross! Glad it was you and not me. Although I'm sure I have many days like that ahead of me. Hayley has the WORST gag reflex!
I was also going to say...don't you hate that your husband had is point proved true? Ha ha ha!
