Reading a post on my sister in laws blog about her children left me compelled to do the same. This week we found out that some friends back in Cedar City had to deliver their baby girl via emergency C-section because of some severe complications. She still had about 3 months to go and the baby weighs only 1 lb 13 oz. My heart truly breaks for their family and the experience hit close to home. Before we were married, my sister gave birth to twin girls weighing just over 1 and 2 pounds. They lived only 26 days and that experience has forever changed my life. Knowing what my sister went through and now having children of my own, I realize how precious our children's lives are. Their little girl is doing well and is stable, and we continue to pray and hope for the best. It has made me look at my children a little harder each day, hug them more, and realize how blessed I am to have healthy children. They are my life, what I wanted for as long as I can remember. Thank goodness for the knowledge that we are only given those things we can handle and that we are always being watched over. My thoughts and prayers are continually with our friends, they are wonderful, strong people. It makes me remember to take nothing for granted in my life; that in an instant things can change that will test our strength and push us to our limits. No matter how hard I think my life is at times, I must focus on the good things and realize that they out weigh the bad.

Marissa..I really loved your post. I talked with Melanie yesterday and she said her and Ryan were getting a blog put together so we could all see her sweet Janie. I let you know when it's up and running.
Hey check out sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com she has directions on how to change your backgrounds.
Who in Cedar? Do we know who they are by chance? That is so sad. I am glad the baby is ok though. Experiences like this really do make you greatful to be a mom with healthy kids! Thanks for sharing the story.

Touching...thank you. Of course I agree that you need to cherish every moment you have with loved ones. You never know when your world could come crashing down on you.
Your post was beautiful, thank you. I hope everything goes well for your friends and their baby. I will pray for them!
