Today was Taylor's 2nd birthday! We have been prepping her for the big day and trying to get her to understand the concept. I had her help me bake the cake and frost it, although she thought eating the batter and frosting was much more enjoyable! I had a little trouble with the cake myself, it seemed Taylor decided to turn off the timer on the stove so it went a little longer than necessary. Its a good thing she is only 2 and can't fully comprehend what was going on! We decided to get her a play kitchen since she really seemed to enjoy her cousin Alex's while we were on vacation. She was so excited about seeing the box that she immediately wanted it open and completely forgot about the cake. Needless to say it took Curt about 2 hours to get the thing put together. Overall, it was a nice, relaxing day with just our small family. We can't believe that she is already 2 and that we now have another one. It really is true when they say that they grow up so fast. She is a joy and has adjusted well to having a little brother...so far anyway! She brings a lot of laughter to our home, whether it's her dramatic, diva facial expressions, or the new words she learns each day!
