June Happenings

We packed a lot into the month of June including a week long vacation up in Salt Lake, but more on that in a later post.  One tradition that both the kids and Curtis have taken to is make Sunday afternoon cookies.  I love that my husband is the baker between us and actually enjoys making cookies each week. I think its safe to say that our neighbors enjoy it just as much too.  The kids are always eager to help...lick the beaters and spatula that is.
Maddox likes to be sneaky and follows the bowl around sneaking finger fulls of cookie dough whenever dad isn't looking! He must get that from me;)
Having 1 o'clock church can be tough on this dude since he doesn't get a nap.  He loves to watch tractor videos on YouTube and this is usually always how he ends up.
Curtis and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary on the 5th of June and he surprised me with not one but two bouquets of flowers and a gift card to my favorite drink stop, Swig.  I was going through a major ice craving stage at that point in pregnancy and they have the best ice and sno cones a pregnant girl could have hoped for!d
We beat the heat by heading to Jumpin Jacks with some of our friends and had a great afternoon burning some major energy!
Curtis scored some free passes to an indoor aquatic center in town so one Saturday we took the kids and had a blast swimming and going down all the slides.
This guy was hesitant at first like he is with most new things but quickly learned how awesome it was playing in an area with such shallow water.
The kids loved the fact that Curtis was able to go swimming with them since we usually do all our summer swimming while he is working so he misses out! It was such a fun family afternoon.
At the end of the month, my mom came to town to watch my brother's kids at his in-laws house while their entire family went to Hawaii.  We spent almost everyday with them. My kids cannot get enough of cousin time and had a blast swimming and playing together.
One evening when it wasn't quite as hot as usual the kids hit up the backyard to play on the tree swing and hammock. Maddox thought it was pretty fun just chilling on this while someone pushed him.
One of my most favorite pictures of the little man.  He was tuckered after a long day at church and long weekend of playing with cousins and being on the go. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a sleeping babe:)
The kids put on a talent show for us on one of the nights and we all had assigned seating on the stairs.  There was magic tricks, art being display, baseball skills and some killer dancing that took place! My kids were seriously in heaven having these guys around so much!
Maddox decided to keep one of the props from the show on afterwards and I couldn't resist taking a picture!
We did our best to stay busy in the heat of the month and had so much fun with cousins and friends along the way.
