Dyer Family Reunion

Last week was the annual Dyer Family Reunion.  My kids look forward to this all year because they have an absolute blast being surrounded by all their cousins.  The original plan was to go camping, but due to all the fires that were going on and the hot, dry weather we decided to just house jump and do some activities
close to home...Not mine of course!
My cute observer...his baby blues are almost non-existent:( Guess he's turning hazel like his daddy...go figure.
Aw...I sure love this guy:) He works so hard lately that it was sure nice having a few days with no work. Don't mind my risque flashing...whoopsie.
We spent the first day doing some fun crafts and games.  The kids (and several adult males) made these really fun rockets out of construction paper and then launched them off using an air compressor PVC contraption...thingy mabobber. It would launch them high into the air and if the glue hadn't dried many of the tips would pop right off. The kids were occupied for quite awhile with this one! Maddox mostly observed by finding a comfy spot to prop his elbows and resting his chin in his hands...its his signature look and makes me smile every time he does it!

Next up were some fun minute to win it games! Taylor was a champ at most of them...especially stacking dice on a Popsicle stick in her mouth.  Boston was quite accurate with his ping pong blowing skills....that kid never ceases to amaze me!
The adults got in on the fun too.  Curtis spent quite some time trying to stack bolts using his mouth and a stick...I on the other hand had not patience for it!  I did try out the cookie to the mouth one and will let the pictures speak for themselves on that one! Let's just say watching Curtis made me almost wet my pants!

Saturday we spent at his brother's pool enjoying the sun and warm weather.  It comes complete with a slide and diving board and did not fail to impress.  Boston spent most of his time squirting unsuspecting people with a squirt gun and Taylor was usually heard screaming her way down the slide....every time. Curtis had also gotten up early that morning to go with his brother scuba diving at Deer Creek.  He managed to spear some pretty good size bass and cooked them up for dinner for everyone to try. They were rather tasty.
It was a great, fun, and relaxing weekend.  I enjoyed the fact we stayed close to home and got to visit and keep things fairly low key. I love being able to watch my kids make memories that literally stay with them throughout the years!
