The Big 5

In keeping with tradition, I'm a tad late on Taylor's birthday post! She turned 5 last week and didn't sleep for days leading up to her big day! She got to take the money Grandma and Grandpa sent to pick out her birthday present. She knew right away that she wanted a pillow pet, and it had to be the unicorn. Curtis and I tried convincing her to get the lady bug or panda which are much cuter, but the girl knows what she wants and would not sway her decision. The rest of the day she sang the catchy, often annoying jingle..."its a pillow, its a pet....its a pillow pet!" She decided for her birthday that she really wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner and have brownies and ice cream for dessert. She's not much for cake or cupcakes, but the girl can sure put away her brownies...like mother, like daughter! The minute we pulled into dinner, the girl was at it again with her catchy jingles...Red Robin...YUM! Over and Over and Over:) You could definitely tell she was excited about her birthday...and that she may watch a little too much TV! We had to snap a few pictures and everyone got a turn. Boston took the one with Curt's head cut off, but at least he got our faces! We invited our neighborhood friends over after dinner to help with the brownies and open presents. Taylor was so excited over each of her gifts that included a new art easel (the girl loves to draw and paint), puzzle book, stamps, and a jewelry kit! And just like her brother, she was very careful to blow out each candle individually. This girl sure keeps us on our toes, and I'm really dreading the teenage years, but we love her to pieces. Even with all her drama and tantrums and attitude, she is still so smart and sweet and a great big sister to her 2 brothers.
