We have officially survived the first week at home with 3 kids. I can't say its been too difficult since my mom was here to help and be an extra set of hands! Maddox has been such a sweet, mellow baby and we can't get enough of him. They change so fast and grow so much in the first weeks of life that I forget I need to be constantly taking pictures so I don't miss out on anything.
Coming home from the hospital
I can't even express how glad I was to be able to go home from the hospital after just 1 extra day there. I was an emotional wreck to say the least. It was hard for me to be there, stuck in a tiny room, and only getting to see Maddox when they brought him to me to eat. I sat with him in the nursery for a little bit while he was under the lights and it was awful having to watch him in there. I have a new compassion for those with babies in the NICU. The pediatrician let him go home without lights even though his bili count was still a little high. We had to take him in 3 more times to get tested until it finally came down.
We spent lots of time letting him sun bathe to help out the jaundice...
Boston wasn't too happy that he couldn't hold him and wrestle him, but Taylor loved sitting right next to him and holding his hand. He is not much of a binki taker, which I should be happy about, but sometimes he'll take one for a few minutes which helps when I need to hold him out longer for a feeding.
Both kids love getting to hold him, but Taylor in particular loves to be a mini mommy to him.

Boston usually only lasts holding him for a minute or so, and he's constantly asking when he will crawl and be big like he is! I hope they will be best beds some day.
