We've been enjoying our Spring weather here as much as possible and really just taking it easy most days, which is why I've had a lack of desire to blog much. I haven't been good at taking pictures and since we aren't doing much special around here, I avoid the blog. We seem to have a million projects going on right now and it feels like never enough time to accomplish all of them! A couple weeks ago, Curtis' brother Devin and his wife came down to help with our first backyard project...a rock wall. We got the rock free...it was just laying out behind our house waiting for us to use it! They worked Friday night and most of Saturday to finish the task and we think it looks great!! The kids enjoyed playing outside in the dirt all day and "helping" when they could!
We also decided to put out trampoline in the the ground so it didn't look so overwhelming in our backyard! The kids love how much easier it is to get on and off, but we still need to add a support so the hole doesn't begin to fill in.
Up next, is plans for the sprinklers. Curt's brother offered to come back and help with those since he's done his own and knows what he's doing...we hope! I'm so excited to be making progress, slowly, but surely! The kids are loving the weather and the fact that it stays light out so much longer! They enjoy playing till way past dark while Curtis is working on projects outside! Taylor is loving preschool as usual and yesterday came home so excited I thought she'd burst! She quickly informed me that she'd earned the first ever best coloring prize for her amazing skills on her worksheet!
I'm thinking of doing summer school for her just so she has something to do a couple times a week and doesn't get bored out of her mind! Boston has been working on an accomplishment of his own, potty training. Although, I'm pretty sure it should be called Patience Training for Parents. He's been taking off his diaper after barely wetting in them, so about a week ago, we just started letting him go without and were surprised that he was telling us when he needed to go. We were a little reluctant at first but thought we'd give it a shot. He's doing fairly well, he's gone a couple nights completely dry and knows how to hold it really good!! He, however, will NOT poop in the potty. He thinks its scary and will hold it and then go in his pants. We've backed off a bit and now he's in pull-ups more often than underwear, hoping he'll let us know when he's ready for more. He's a champ at peeing, so I guess we'll chalk that one up as an accomplishment! I think he realized a few days in that it was not convenient to his playing schedule to have mom and dad asking him to go potty and stop what he's doing!
I guess it's a good thing we think he's cute! Maybe in a few months he'll be ready for more vigorous training:) I've finally made it to the "feel good" stage of pregnancy although I forget how long this process feels. At almost 22 weeks, I feel like I'm already closer to 30...or rather that's how I look! We are working on switching the kids rooms around so that baby and Boston can share the bigger room Taylor is in while she'll move into B's current one. She got a new dresser/mirror and nightstand that Curtis is working hard on finishing, and she's quite excited. I'm not sure the same goes for Boston, but he doesn't have much choice! The name game is ever changing and I'm not sure we'll have one till he arrives, but feel free to offer up any suggestions!
I'm making a goal to take more pics, whether we do something big or not, just so I can start to document more the goings on in our lives!
