We headed down with the Dyer Family to visit Curt's mom in Skull Valley, AZ. His mom remarried last year and decided to throw a little celebration for their almost 1 year anniversary! Taylor was beyond excited knowing she got to go and play with all her cousins. Skull Valley is what Curtis and I like the call "the sticks!" It suites her and Doug perfectly though and they seem very happy being there together! Grandma Colleen and Grandap Doug had a fun trampoline that occupied the kids most of the time we were there.
Taycee, Kyree, McKell, Boston and Taylor...These girls are all within 8 months of each other!Boston had a blast as long as people weren't jumping while he was trying to stand back up!
Poor Boston always seems to be surrounded by girls everywhere he goes! Luckily the new family moving in down the street has a little boy just his age!YAY:)
Taylor also had a blast playing on the tree swings, holding new baby chicks and exploring the great outdoors with all the kids. It never fails that on one of these quick trips Taylor has a major meltdown due to lack of sleep and just plain exhaustion. This particular one started in Costco while we were in Prescott for a farmer's market. I'm not even sure what started it, but it continued on the way through the drive thru at In and Out. I eventually had to get in the back seat and just hold her to get her to calm down...I mean she was beside herself hysterical! I've learned with her over 3 years that yelling and ignoring won't help and only makes it worse. She's just tired and needs me to help calm her down before I can reason with her! After such an event, I explained that on the ride back to Grandma's she had to take a nap in the car or she couldn't play with her cousins. She fought it till the end and eventually ended up like this...
This girl can be such a challenge for me at times, but I can't help but love her to death...she really is just too smart for her own good. She pushes me to my limit, but also makes me want to be better as a mom. We had a great weekend, and are happy we had the opportunity to go and celebrate with everyone!
