Playing Catchup

It has been far too long since my last post, although some of you may not have noticed! We are settling into life in our new home and neighborhood and loving every minute. Most evenings are spent outside with the rest of the neighbors enjoying the cooler weather while the kids run wild until way past dark. I'm starting to miss the days of and 8:30 bedtime and dreading trying to get back to it when Taylor starts preschool. I haven't taken many pictures of the kids lately...most of the time they are off playing and wont hold still long enough for a picture. This is the only one I've gotten recently which sums up our evenings....kids running and lots of bikes!
I've been spending lots of time at Home Depot and Lowes....suddenly you own a home, and Target is a thing of the past!! I'm anxious to get things painted, although in certain areas I've found I should be more patient rather than rushing into things. We painted 2 walls in our family room and darker tan color and Taylor stayed up till past 11 watching us without our knowledge. We decided the next day to let her participate since she seemed so fascinated... She does good work, right?! Curtis took on the painting after he witnessed how horrible I am at it....I tend to be a little messy, which apparently isn't good when painting.
We also painted our bathroom, which I am thoroughly in love with. I think I'd paint every room this color if I could get away with it! Much better in person, but I love the fresh, clean feeling it gives! I almost want to bring everyone that comes over straight to my bathroom....maybe not! I only wish I had such luck with the kitchen. I'm going for green, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to find just the right one. Thank heaven for $2.50 samples or I'd be broke! Hopefully, this week brings "the one" and we paint over all the horrible samples I have scattered about!

Life is good right now and we feel truly blessed to be where we are at and be surrounded by such wonderful people!

Marissa, it looks great! Can't wait to see it. School starts for Amanda tomorrow and it will be a harsh reality when the alarm goes off at 6:15am. I already miss the lazy days of summer.
