It has been exactly one week tomorrow that they began building our home. It was hard up to that point imagining that it was really going to happen, and even with a concrete slab I was still having a hard time envisioning it. But now it actually looks like a house and we get more and more excited each time we go out to check the progress. It's amazing to me how fast they are getting things done too, but I guess that happens when they are working on it 7 days a week. Here's a little photo journal of the progress thus far......
Monday: Permit is in....
Tuesday: Footing poured.
Tuesday: Footing poured.
Wednesday: Plumbing started
Thursday: Plumbing completed and lot grated for mud
Friday: Slab was poured!!
Saturday Afternoon: Preparing Trusses for next day
Saturday evening: walls framed and trusses set on top for roof 
Sunday: Finished putting trusses up
Monday(Today): Began sheeting the roof, poured garage floor
We are so excited about the progress that has been made in just one short week. It makes living here in the hotel bareable...knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! We can't wait to see what the next week brings:)

Yay! It's looking like a house! And I'm so glad I'm not the only one that was obsessed with driving past our house constantly! It's so exciting to see things getting done!
So here's a good thing about watching it all come together - lots and lots and lots of time to plan where you want to put things, right down to which drawer you want things in. You'll have plenty of time to take measurements and shop, shop, shop! It was pretty simple moving in because I knew exactly where I wanted everything!
So excited for you guys! It will all be worth it!
