Weekend Fun
This past weekend we headed up north to visit Curt's family and attend his niece's baptism. Taylor loves when we go there because there is always someone to play with and most of the time she can hardly keep all her cousins' names straight! Our first destination upon arriving Friday evening was, of course, Taco Amigo! Taylor has even come to love their food and downed her cheeseburger in no time flat! We had homemade ice cream, Burnt Almond Fudge, at Curt's brother TJ's, where we stayed and Taylor was up until almost midnight playing with her cousins, Macrae and Kyree! Saturday we went to TayLynn's baptism, and then headed to Curtis' brother Devin's house for lunch and lots of fun with all the cousins! This was a picture of our kids and Macrae on our way home afterward....
Saturday night, Curtis and I got the extremely rare opportunity to go out on a date with our friends Zach and Lindsay. We dropped the kids off at Uncle Chad's house and headed to Olive Garden. We had a gift card we have been wanting to use and it was even better not having the kids with us! Afterwards, we went bowling and had a great time! It's been quite a few years since we last went bowling but I didn't do too shabby...Curtis about broke a hole in the lane throwing his ball a little too hard, but other than that he was a good.
It was so fun to get out and hang out with friends and have an evening without the kids. When we got back to Chad's, Boston made sure he let us know he was upset we left him. They said he did fine as long as Taylor was right by his side....I guess we need to find a babysitter and start leaving him more often:) Taylor had fun playing games, eating ice cream and watching a movie with all of her cousins.
Boston got to practice his candle blowing skills and was much more content as long as mom and dad were around!
It was a busy weekend packed full of fun, but we are happy to be home catching up on all the sleep we lost! The kids slept in until after 9:30 and are peacefully back to napping as we speak. We had a lot of fun and hope to lure people to come visit us now that the weather is warming up...we are always up for visitors:)
