Thanksgiving and the ducks
We had a really nice Thanksgiving weekend. We got to stay at home and host the big dinner. My parents and my brother and his family came from out of town to spend the weekend with us. I did a really bad job at taking pictures, but managed to get a few of the kids. Taylor had a blast playing with her cousins, Alex and Jake. Dinner was a success and I have more leftovers in my fridge than I know what to do with. It was really low key except for when Mandy clogged my disposal by putting all the potato peels down it...lets just say she got an earfull from the men in the family!! We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out, and surprisingly didnt do too much shopping.
Boston woke up Saturday night running a fever and had the shakes, so I put him in bed with Curtis so I could get him so medicine. The next thing I hear his Curtis screaming my name and I walk into our room and see that Boston is throwing up and most of it is on Curtis. Poor kid:( I gave him some Motrin and water and he crashed with us the rest of the night and woke up fine...weird. I'm chalkin it up to teeth since he still needs his "fangs" but I dont see any breaking through so it looks like a lot of sleepless nights to come for me.
Yesterday we took the kids up to a duck pond not too far from our house. We have been there once before, but had forgotten to bring bread. The ducks immediately swarm you, and as you can see our fearless leader wasn't afraid to get into the mix, Taylor and I on the other hand kept our distance. Those ducks can get fiesty and a little to scary for me! I tried to get a picture of Taylor with the ducks, but they all turned out blurry since she was always running away from them. We had a great weekend and are trying to recover this week before we head North for Curtis' family Christmas party this weekend. Dont ya just love the holidays:)

Way to go Mandy! Erinn did the same thing last year and I had a few 'choice' words for her as well-- I'm an expert in taking apart the sink plumbing to manually extract potato peels. The trash can is always a better option.
Marissa you're also pretty adventuresome with the ducks. You probably don't remember the killer goose in O'Fallon that Dad used to hit with the row boat oar when it tried to attack. See ya later.
Adam
Great pics! The cousins look so much alike!
I love the pic of you and Boston. You look so pretty!
Don't feel bad Mandy. When Adam got back he was doing all the dishes for me. After half a dozen loads I realized that he hadn't been taking the wrapper off the dishwashing pellet before putting it in the dishwasher. And it says on each wrapper: REMOVE BEFORE USE!! Besides, Adam was so paranoid about the potato peels that he wouldn't even let me peel the potatoes this year . . . less work for me!! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
Ha Ha... you just had to go and tell the whole world I messed up. Next time I will just sit on the couch and watch all ya all do everything!! :P
Sounds like you had a fun thanksgiving! And yes, I do just love the holidays! Run around, eat, run around, eat some more, I LOVE it! Plus, it's fun to let yourself go and then start with fresh diet resolutions for the new year!
