Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year and enjoyed being able to spend it at home. My parents came out from California to spend it with us and the kids loved having Grandma and Grandpa here with us. We had a great time making our own traditions since this is only the second time we have spent Christmas at home. We did lots of shopping, cooking, baking, singing, and movie watching. Christmas Eve the kids helped Grandma make sugar cookies to leave for Santa...by help, I mean they ate as much dough as they could while no one was looking. We made our own homemade pizza with all the toppings for dinner and finished off the night by decorating our sugar cookies! I even managed to find the kids coordinating Christmas jammies this year and boy howdie did they look cute!
We even got some snow on Christmas Eve and I was hoping it would stick around until morning but all we woke up to was the rain. Boston's in the bad habit of sleeping with his parents and was the first one awake. I ran out and got the camera to catch his face when he saw the presents. He immediately bee-lined it for his new train ride on toy that he remember playing with at Costco!! Taylor, who we thought would be up early, finally had to be woken up by her brother at 8:15!! Next year, we'll just let her sleep in...she was a little cranky the rest of the day:) Taylor got a new bike, lots of play-doh, and a fun Tinker Bell art kit. Boston got a pack of balls, his train, a new play phone and both got a fun barnyard bowling game and table and chairs! Curtis got me a necklace, a watch and a new clock in my favorite color red:) He made out with a new watch, a sweater and a big bag of chocolate covered pretzels! After presents we had a great breakfast of cheesy egg casserole and my moms yummy homemade cinnamon rolls.
We also did a lot of house hunting over the holiday and found a great place. We signed the papers yesterday and will be moving around the 20th! Taylor thinks we are moving to a bigger house since it has stairs...we're just glad she's excited:) Now begins the moving process, but luckily its an in-town move and we have a 10 day overlap so we can move things over slowly and unload as we go! I'll be sure to get some new pictures up of the place soon! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we are excited for what the New Year may bring:)

Looks like you had a great Christmas! Your kids are getting so big and Taylor is getting more beautiful by the day. I hope you have a good move and enjoy the new townhouse, and the little bit of extra money a month to save for a rainy day!
Love,
