Our Big Boy

It's hard to believe how fast Boston is growing up these days. He is now an almost professional walker and prefers walking without help wherever he goes. He's starting to talk more and mimic the things we say. It's like all of a sudden, the baby just up and left, and now all I see is this little boy. I've said all along how easy going this kid can be, and my next story only confirms it!! After lunch the other day, I took Boston into his room to change his diaper. I use the guest bed in his room as a changing table and after I finished he just sat playing on the bed. I went and threw the diaper away and came back to get him ready for his nap. I closed the blinds, turned on his noise machine and said "night, night". He laid down on the guest bed with his binki, so I decided to leave him there and see what happened. I figured since he knows both how to get off the bed and open the door, that minutes after I left, he would be out roaming around. But when he didn't come out, I went in to check on him, figuring I'd find him playing..... Not the case at all...within minutes he was out cold in the same place I'd left him! Looks like the transition to a big boy bed won't be a difficult one for him:) I moved him to his crib, but on Saturday Curtis did the same thing for his morning nap, and he slept there for over 2 hours!! He is also in need of a serious haircut, but part of me knows that once we cut it, he really will look like a big boy. I'm not quite ready for that just yet, especially since I know it will be awhile before we have another baby in the house! I swear the more kids you have, the faster they seem to grow up! That's something I'm not sure I'll ever get used to.

Ya gotta love a kid that sleeps anywhere! Except when he knows Grandma is trying to sleep!!! There is something about when they turn a year and its all over for the baby stage. Still cant wait to smother him with love and kisses!! Mom

That is so nice that he fell asleep on the bed like that! I agree, they grow up way too fast. Boston is SO cute!
