Candy, Cookies, and Puddles
We had a really fun, low key Halloween. The kids and I met Dad at work to have pizza with the staff and Taylor got some candy and pencils from one of Curtis' employees. Curtis got home just in time to grab a quick bite and head out the door for some trick or treating! Unfortunately, my camera's battery died and I only got one picture...
Not the greatest, but proof that we did it! Boston was content most of the night holding his bucket and snacking on some candy that he managed to chew the wrapper off of:) Taylor had fun going door to door and we had to constantly remind her to wait for them to put it in her bucket rather than just taking it......she was in such a hurry that she'd hold up her bucket with one hand and reach for the candy with the other! There were a few houses she opted out of because of the scary decor and she wasn't a fan of houses with dogs...especially little ones! We managed to make it home and to bed without too much of a sugar high. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curtis has become the baker in our house! Its not that I don't like baking cookies, but I end up eating more than I actually bake! Taylor looks forward to baking cookies with dad and today Boston joined in on the effort. Boston enjoyed helping dad stir, although I caught him sneaking a few bites after every dip or so...like mother like son!
Taylor has become quite the expert at cracking the eggs, but we still get some assistance from dad just to make sure we don't end up with any shells in our cookies!
After cookies, the kids wandered outside and it wasn't long before Taylor discovered a nice size puddle in the backyard from the rain we got last night! Boston, being the boy he is, went all out and just hopped right in! Taylor then decided it was safe and joined in on the fun. Little stinkers are just too quick for me sometimes!
We really do love the weekends, especially since Curtis is home and the kids get to spend lots of time with him:)

Boston looks like he is as big as Taylor these days! She better watch out, he is going to pass her up really soon! Glad you guys had a good Halloween!
I bet those cookies tasted awesome with all that help.
O that looks fun! We didn't go trick or treating with the baby, because I know I would just eat all of the candy! I made scones on my front porch and fed all the trick or treaters! It was so much fun! I am going too make it a tradition! Your kids looked so cute! betsey
Kids look cute!! I love weekends, too.
Cute! What is it with kids and wanting to get dirty? You gotta love it!
And I let Daniel make all the cookies in our house, too. He's great at it and then I don't eat as much dough!
I love their costumes! And I can't believe that it was 80 degrees at your trunk or treat! Summer already seems long gone here.
I am definitely right there with you when it comes to eating as I am going! I love anything sweet, and if there is anything sweet in the house I EAT IT!!! All this Halloween candy has not been good! Brynlee and I are looking forward to tomorrow!
