A Much Needed Vacation
This year Christmas consisted of lots of family, traveling, and fun packed into a short amount of time. We began our vacation with a trip to Utah for the Dyer family Christmas party. We left the Wednesday before Christmas and drove to Durango, Co where we stayed the night. We got up the next day and made it to Utah County just in time for the party and barely ahead of the snow! We had a great time seeing the family and Taylor was in seventh heaven with all the cousins to play with. We left Friday and headed to Vegas, where we again stayed the night (I know....we were crazy to do all that driving!) We finally made it to Grandma and Grandpas house on Saturday evening and were all just excited to be out of the car! We had a great time with Tara and her kids and Cameron and Mandy and kids. We also blessed Boston while we were in Fresno so that we could have some family present. It was really simple and wouldn't have been complete without a tantrum from Taylor right before the blessing started. Luckily Aunt Tara, and Aunt Mandy took her out to the hall so I could pay attention! We had a good Christmas, and Taylor was excited about all her new toys. Boston basically slept through it all but he managed to open a present or two (with the help from Mom of course!) We had a great time and it was hard to come home. Overall, Curtis calculated we traveled over 2900 miles and spent almost 48 hrs in the car. As crazy and insane as it sounds, it wasn't too bad and its a price we were will to pay in order to spend time with family over the holidays.

Sounds like quite the road trip! Hopefully it won't always be like that...
