Time to Reflect...........

For the past two days, I have been living the single parent life. Curtis left Wednesday afternoon for a conference in San Francisco and will return late Saturday night. Spending this time alone with two kids, all day, and no relief has made me realize how truly blessed I am to have a husband who is apart of our lives daily and is rarely gone. I am not one who generally does well when he leaves, which has happened more often than me leaving him. I admire the strength that so many women have whose husbands are deployed overseas for long periods of time and the way in which they make life go on. I'm grateful for the job that Curtis has and that it allows him to be home with his family and rarely away on business. We miss family and friends and hope to someday soon move closer. Then, maybe the kids and I can leave Curtis for a change just so he knows what its like to be the one left at home, or better yet, I'll go by myself! Just wanted to share my thoughts with you all.

marissa..I can honestly say I know how you feel. It sounds like the boys are having fun and are probably trying to get into trouble but aren't being to successful at it. How are you guys doing in N.M.? Congratulations on your newest addition. I hope everything went well for you. Call me sometime and maybe all of us wives can get together and plan a gettaway without our husbands...Ammie

I know the feeling! Don't we have great husbands? I feel so lucky. I honestly don't know how army wives do it with their husbands gone - I admire them SO much.

Miss you, Marissa!

so marissa...everytime i pull your blog up it brings me to your "life with two" post instead of your home page displaying your most recent post. Did you set it up that way or is it a mistake?

My computer brings it to your most recent post. Weird!

Marissa, where do you get your cute backgrounds from? I've looked everywhere and I can't find any. How do you do it?
